Jonathan Ware (Piano)
Born in Dallas Texas, pianist Jonathan Ware studied at The Eastman School of Music, The Juilliard School and with Wolfram Rieger at the Hochschule für Musik ‘Hanns Eisler’ Berlin. He is faculty at the Barenboim Said Academy as well as the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler. Sought after as a song pianist and chamber musician, recent highlights include recitals at the Mozarteum Salzburg with Mojca Erdmann, the Munich Philharmonie and Kölner Philharmonie with Ludwig Mittelhammer, and at Wigmore Hall London with Dame Ann Murray, Michael Collins, Peter Moore, Benjamin Appl and Tara Erraught. Future projects include recitals with Golda Schulz, Robin Tritschler and Ludwig Mittelhammer at Wigmore Hall and with Elsa Dreisig at the Berliner Konzerthaus, as well as a North American tour with oboist Olivier Stankiewicz. Residencies include The Ravinia Festival Chicago, the Internationale Meistersinger Akademie, Heidelberger Frühling Festival and Verbier Festival. Jonathan was also the co-artistic director of Schubert and Co., a festival in New York devoted to the performance of the complete Schubert Lieder.
